Commando Comic #318: 'Son Of An Ace' (1968)
 
ONE by one the First World War Bristol fighters coughed and spluttered their way along the derelict, overgrown runway and took to the air. It was more than twenty years since they'd last flown but now they set course for Dunkirk, to take on the mighty Luftwaffe which was harrying the evacuating British troops.
 
The pilot of the leading Bristol was Robin Scott, son of Major Scott, a First World War air ace who'd also flown Bristols. And Scotty's gunner was Charlie Bowman, the same deadly crack shot who'd served with Scotty's Dad... It looked as though the Nazis were in for a shock of one kind or another.
