Hurricanes Over Burma: Including the Memoirs of Wing Commander "Bunny" Stone (1995) By M.C. "Bush" Cotton DFC, OAM
Hurricanes Over Burma is two books. In the first, Cotton gives his account of the air war over Burma. Cotton was one of the first groups of pilot trainees to leave Australia in WWII. He spent 2 years and 9 months in the Burma-India theatre flying Hurricanes and eventually commanding No 17 Squadron RAF. The second book is the memoirs of his friend Wing Commander Bunny Stone- a personal account of his 3 years with the RAF in the Far East. They are based on 33 drawings, which he started in India after the first Burma campaign. He completed the drawings in 1944 when events were still fresh in his mind. The text was added in the 1970s.
