The Royal Australian Corps of Transport (RA) serves as an administrative corps within the Australian Army, holding the tenth position in terms of seniority among the army's corps and being the most senior logistics corps. Established on June 1, 1973, it was created through the merger of the Royal Australian Army Service Corps (RAASC) and the Royal Engineers Transportation Service. The RACT oversees the operation of army surface transport assets, movement, terminal and postal services, as well as the Army's air logistic support functions.
